AILS was founded in 2018 with the vision for participants to live a happy and fulfilled life. Our motto is “to treat every participant as you would treat your family”.
Our aim is to provide an enjoyable and safe working environment for our employees and ensure staff have the same vision and goals as the company.
We pride ourselves in delivering ethical and personal services. We are always available to listen, support and help our participants.
AILS have over 80 experienced support staff members including Support Workers, Support Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapist, Cleaners and Gardeners. Our team all share the same passion in supporting our participants to live an independent life.
Our office team operates across Assured Independent Living Services (AILS) and our Supported Independent Living (SIL), Assured Independent Housing Services (AIHS).
Kate started AILS in 2018 with a vision to provide a high quality standard of support and care for participants.
Kate has always been passionate about supporting and caring for people. Kate does not see AILS as a business, but an opportunity to extend love and care to more people. She strives to create a fun, caring, family-like environment for every member of the AILS family.
Whilst Kate is actively involved in every aspect of AILS, her favourite part of the day is meeting with people, getting to know them and hearing their stories.
Tony has worked alongside Kate supporting her to achieve her vision since 2018.
Tony manages our supported independent living (SIL) division. He also oversees aspects of AILS ensuring both divisions remain compliant with industry standards and meet best practice.
Tony enjoys organising events and celebrating the great work of the AILS family.
Sandra joined AILS in 2021 and has over 10 years experience in the disability sector.
Sandra is a great advocate for our participants. Sandra works with participants and stakeholders tailoring supports to meet participants needs and empowering them to reach their individual goals. Sandra also works with our own Allied Health providers.
Sandra is passionate about providing personalised services to participants while also being part of the management team. Sandra’s focus is people management and participant engagement.
Mel has over a decade of experience in leadership. Mel has always been passionate about building and developing strong relationships.
Mel is responsible for people management, participant engagement and overall operations at AILS.
Mel enjoys getting to know people and creating relationships.
Nicole has extensive experience in the Legal industry.
Nicole is passionate about doing the right thing, the right way for AILS’ participants. With a focus on compliance and continued business improvement, Nicole assists both AILS and AIHS in achieving this.
Nicole’s favourite part of AILS is seeing the positive impact the team's work has on people’s lives everyday.
Nitin has worked alongside Kate and Tony for the past 10 years. Nitin has over 15 years experience within both the Financial and Information & Technology industries.
Nitin is responsible for pivotal functions, including reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable management and overall oversight of accounting-related operations.
Mirela joined AILS in 2021 and has been working in the disability sector for over 16 years. She has extensive experience in the disability and NDIS sector which ranges from direct support to leadership positions.
As a Support Coordinator, Mirela is passionate about assisting participants with the implementation of their NDIS plan, sourcing the most beneficial support needed and ensuring that their funding is used in a way so that they get the most out of their NDIS package. Mirela is all about supporting her participants with easy information and providing the correct supports to ensure they continue to develop and build on their independent living skills.
Mirela is always up for a chat as she enjoys speaking with people and has built strong working relationships with her participants and families over the years.
Our three furry friends work hard to bring a warm, fuzzy atmosphere to AILS. They may be spotted in the office or out for a visit (if desired), or even heard over the phone!
